Localized Mock Data Generator - Free & Instant | Smocky

Synthetic test data, generated in your browser. Values are independent and may repeat or coincide with real people, phones, or places.

Record schema

Name each field and choose what fills it. Use 1–20 fields; output follows their order.

Field 1
Field 2
Field 3

Generated dataset

Generate to preview your data.

Copy and Download include every record. Import phone columns as text to preserve leading zeros. CSV flattens Addresses to dotted columns.

Frequently asked questions

What fields can I generate?

Define 1–20 named fields and choose a Field type: Person name, Animal, Object, Vehicle, Phone, Email, Address, Mock identifier, Integer range, Boolean, Date, or Custom list. Integers are JSON numbers, Booleans are true/false, and Addresses are nested objects. Other values are strings. Names must be unique and contain no dots.

How do Custom list weights work?

Entries are used exactly as typed, including whitespace. Whole-number weights from 1 to 1,000 determine relative likelihood: active with weight 8 and inactive and banned with weight 1 each give active an 80% chance. Each list accepts up to 100 distinct entries of up to 200 characters.

What does the Data locale affect?

Thai (Thailand) or English (US) applies to built-in vocabulary across the dataset. Custom list text stays unchanged. Emails use independent ASCII words on example.com in both locales; dates stay YYYY-MM-DD. Fields are independent: Email is not derived from Person name.

Are these real contacts or identifiers?

These are synthetic test records. Names, phone shapes, and synthetic street lines may coincide with real values. Addresses pair a synthetic line with a small curated sample of real city, region, and postal code tuples; they are not verified residences or representative national distributions. Mock identifiers such as MOCK-TH-000001 are application test codes, not national IDs. English phone numbers use the fictional 202-555-0100–0199 range; Thai numbers are test shapes without a reservation guarantee.

Can values repeat?

Yes. Built-in and Custom list values can repeat. Only Mock identifiers are unique within a dataset, and their numbering restarts on the next generation. Generate up to 1,000 records with up to 20 fields.

How do JSON and CSV exports differ?

Both represent the same Generated dataset. JSON preserves nested Addresses, numbers, and Booleans. CSV flattens Addresses in place to field.line, field.city, field.region, and field.postalCode with CRLF rows and standard quoting. Import phone columns as text. CSV downloads include a UTF-8 BOM for Thai text; copied CSV and JSON have no BOM. Copy and Download include all records, even when the preview shows only 20.

Why does CSV show a spreadsheet formula Caution?

User text is exported verbatim. Spreadsheet applications may evaluate cells starting with =, +, -, @, tab, or CR as formulas. Import such data as text when you need literal values.

Does my schema leave the browser?

Generation, preview, copying, and downloading run locally in your browser. No schema or generated records are uploaded. Generation happens only when you press Generate. Changing the schema, locale, or count clears the dataset; changing JSON/CSV keeps it. Clear restores the default name, phone, and mockId schema.
