SSL/TLS Certificate & CSR Parser - Free & Instant | Smocky

Paste one or more PEM blocks, or choose or drop a text file below.

Frequently asked questions

Does this Tool verify that a certificate is trusted?

No. It only reads the fields recorded in a Certificate or CSR. Trust, certificate chain validation, hostname matching, and revocation are not checked, and no certificate is fetched from any website.

What is the difference between a Certificate and a CSR result?

A Certificate shows an Issuer, hex serial number, and Validity period because an issuer signed it. A CSR is only a request: it has a Subject and Requested SANs, but no Issuer, serial number, or Validity period.

Why does one PEM block show an error while others still parse?

Each PEM block is read independently in the order pasted. An unsupported label, truncated block, bad Base64, or malformed ASN.1 in one block is reported as its own error without stopping the blocks around it.

What happens if I paste a very large input?

Input over 1 MiB or more than 50 PEM blocks is rejected with an error before anything is parsed, rather than silently truncated.
