How does the Tool handle different line endings?
LF, CRLF, or CR are treated as line separators, so their style between lines is ignored. A final newline at the end of either input is reported separately.
Does the comparison normalize spaces or tabs?
No. Spaces and tabs are compared exactly as pasted. Blank lines, capitalization, and line order are also preserved.
Does this Tool understand programming-language syntax or make a Git patch?
No. It does not parse programming-language syntax or highlight tokens. The unified view is a readable comparison, not a Git patch.
Why might a comparison be rejected?
Each side can contain up to 100,000 UTF-16 code units. A non-identical comparison that needs more than 4 million comparison cells is rejected so the browser stays responsive; no text is truncated.
